Friday and Saturday July 19 - 20, 2002
Bob Johnson and his grand daughters hike from Vogelsang to Merced Lake and then to Little Yosemite Valley.

	After leaving Vogelsang, the three hardy adventurers followed Fletcher Creek - the spill over from lake Fletcher.  (These pictures are all by Bob, Heather and Ashley.)
	It was an 8 miles steep downhill day.  Tough on the quads.
	The Merced Lake High Sierra Camp destination for the day is in view!
	Seems like backpacker Ashley is more content out here in the beautiful free wilderness than in a $300 night room at the Ritz-Carlton! Such plush furniture to sit on no less!
	Once you are below 10,000 feet elevation hikers are allowed to have their own camp fires.  As the evening draws on, the girls are enjoying this campsite essential!
	An awesome sunset over Half Dome. Waiting for pictures of the next day's trek to Little Yosemite Valley - base camp for a direct assault to the dizzying heights of Half Dome!
