Wednesday July 17, 2002    Back to Mammoth to get supplies and drive to Yosemite's Toulomne Meadows

Here the group is hiking down the switch backs below Shadow Lake.
Grandpa Doug carrying Sierra down the switchbacks.

Sierra enjoying the stream at the bottom of the switchbacks.
Hiking back to Agnew Meadows on a wonderful crisp, clear day.

Bob Johnson on the log crossing.

After getting back to Agnew Meadows, we got some pictures at the Minaret mountain Range view point.  Lake Ediza and Iceberg are both right up against those FAR away peaks.  Heather, Ashley and Bob Johnson.
Jim and Mary Ann Gaebe.

Interesting clouds forming fast in the background.....

We all drove back to town to do some grocery shopping for supplies for the Yosemite part of the trip.  Then it was time for lunch.  We were in Carl Jr's when it started HAILING.  Those clouds came and got us, but were were set!

Later in the day it rained and hailed a bit more at our campsite in Toulomne Meadows.  Sierra came out after one of the short showers all dressed up to keep warm.
I'm helping Mommy make macaroni and cheese for dinner.
MMM!  Good.
All dressed up for going to the evening ranger talk.  The ranger lady had a big, warm fire going when we got there.
I love my tent.

Goodnight.  See you in the morning.
