Our third trip with Sierra from Aliso Woods to Top of the World
This
time Sierra wanted to walk and run at the beginning.
She
is wide awake today and in the mood for some fun running with
gramps. She ran and walked for a good half mile before
getting in her baby jogger.
At
the Top of the World an hour later.
The
Top of the World park has become one of her favorites!
Mimi
Healy, an old family friend who lives on Top of the World, spotted
Michelle in the park while walking her dog. Mimi showed us a
new short secondary trail with even more super mountain range
views at the far side of the park.
We
took Mimi's route and connected to Alta Laguna which we knew
takes us to the Meadow Trail we used to cycle on years ago.
Sierra enjoying the Meadow trail.
This
trail is even steeper, but has been designed with many
switchbacks. A favorite with cyclists. They 20 or so who
passed us on the long way down also thought we were crazy to be
doing it with a baby jogger. Michelle controlled the jogger
on the way down (carefully) and really zoomed. She loved it.
I cruised down ahead and chatted with the cyclists while waiting
for Michelle.
Estimating an 11 mile roundtrip run and hike today.
Back in the Aliso
Woods parking lot. Sierra always likes to sit in Grandpa's
Porsche.
Hi
Mommy. Do I look cute in Grandpa's bright red sports car?
