March 26, 2002 South Laguna - Badlands Park
An 11 mile run

Michelle learned about a new park up Pacific island drive with fairly level trails with great ocean views that we hope connected to our other favorite trail run routes.

The park is named "Badlands" and has the same terrain feel as the large National Park of the same name in South Dakota.
Sierra likes strolling in this new area.
Great view of the town below.
Real beach sand!
On one of the connecting trails.
Heading further North from Badlands Park to connect to our standard hill route.  Aliso Peak way in the background.
Another great view of the ocean and town below.
View with Aliso peak in the background.  This new route unfortunately did not safely  connect with the expected Aliso peak trail.  We had to work our way through the neighborhood residential areas to get back to something we were familiar with.  Ask us about Blanco Leon and Blanco Rattun!
