Doug's mini high school reunion at the Botanical Gardens in Skokie, Illinois
(our 45th Reunion will be May 17-18, 2002!)
Wayne Madsen & I cycled 17 miles each way from Niles to the Botanical Gardens - all the way through a beautiful Forest Preserve route.
Wayne is a fellow University of Illinois Aeronautical Engineering graduate. He went on to get his PhD at Stanford where he and I were roommates while I was getting my Master's.

The gang at the Botanical Gardens. Dorothy G. is Reunion Committee co-chairman. Rich W. is on the reunion committee and is compiling all the bio and photo data for the classmates 2002 reunion book. Sharon S. is in charge of researching, finding, and hiring a group photographer for class photos. She is also researching and collecting useful information on facilities and attractions that many classmates may want to take advantage of during or even after the reunion weekend. Muriel T. is trying to find the "lost" classmates that either have stale addresses or for whom there was no current information whatsoever. (Had to get rid of the people's last names because the South Shore High School web page SEARCH engine was bringing people into my family section - Yikes!)
