High Sierras - Rae Lakes Loop Backpack trip

Day 7 of 7

Day 7 - Sphinx junction to Road's End -1,245', +3.8 miles (46.6 miles total)

About 3 AM the winds started howling and leaves and small branches were falling on our tents.  Around 4 AM it started raining.  Quit in 20 minutes.  Started raining again at 5 AM.  We were all packed up and on the trail at 6:20 AM!  A record!  All 3 of us were anxious for those GIANT pancakes at the Cedar Grove restaurant (and showers, a shave & clean clothes).  We bombed down the final 3.7 miles at were back at the starting point - Road's End at 8:30 AM.

	The 3 Muske-grubs (Chris, Doug & Clark)	WOWee!  I never saw such big pancakes!  Ate em' all too!
	The view of king's Canyon on the drive home.	We were there and we loved it!
