High Sierras - Rae Lakes Loop Backpack trip

Day 6 of 7

Day 6 - Vidette Meadows to Sphinx Junction -3,235', +9.7 miles (43.8 miles total)

Another start at 9:30 AM.  Even though we were at a lower altitude of 9,515', this past night turned out to be  the coldest we experienced during the entire trip. Was sure nice to have a fire going when we woke up .  Thank you Clark!

We got to Sphinx junction around 3 PM, set up our tents, cleaned up our dirty dusty feet in Bubb's Creek, and got a nice roasty fire going again.  Turned out this was our last night on the trail and Clark & Chris had all kinds of extra food to get rid of.  Trail gluttons anonymous here we come!
