Information
for those coming from Chicago:
AIRPORT recommendation:
If
possible, fly into John Wayne Orange County airport in Santa
Ana/Newport Beach (Airport code SNA). Long Beach (LGB) or
Ontario (ONT) airports are also closer and easier to get to than
Los Angeles (LAX)
LOCAL HOTEL suggestions:
(Check Travelocity, Orbitz,
Priceline, etc. We noticed that prices varied quite a bit
depending on selected arrival and departure dates.)

Friday
night possibilities:
For those who come for the entire
weekend and wish to get together Friday night, we will either
meet at a local Anaheim Hills restaurant or Sports Bar or have a
small group get together at Sara’s. She has again offered her
home for that night’s festivities - wine, cheese and EVEN
karaoke (oh NO!)
Orange County
things to do:
For
those who plan a few extra days out here there are ACTIVITIES
besides Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm! Check out:

Also
Google: Laguna Beach, Newport Beach and Dana Point Harbor.
Doug
has a few secret ocean spots to go hiking that are easy to drive
to and not crowded such as Reef Point or Moss Point! Might also
want to visit a couple of spectacular mountain top viewpoints
like Top of the World Laguna Beach or the Badlands in Laguna
Niguel. Depends what you are interested in. Let us know what
activities interest you! We’ll help.
Please
reply to this Email or Email Sara directly at:

as soon as possible if you are interested in joining us on
January 27th or have further questions. We need a
count - the dinner checks can follow in a week or two.
And to
set the theme for this Southern California 50th Pre-reunion here
is a lovely poem sent to all classmates from our former math
teacher, Roberta Tugenberg, now living in Chula Vista,
California. She will be attending our pre-reunion as a guest of
honor with husband Bob.
Hi
Everyone. With fall upon us and the days getting shorter, I
thought you all would appreciate this superb, evocative,
masterfully penned ode to the coming winter season.
So grab a cup of coffee and a comfortable chair, relax and
scroll down to enjoy the warm feelings and pleasure that this
wonderful poem will bring... Sincerely, Bobbie
