PHOTOS FROM THE Mini-Reunion at Harpoon Henry's Restaurant

The Southern California SSHS class of 1957's favorite restaurant and meeting place for the last few years. (Mainly they never bug us even though we stay way past lunch jabbering on & on!)

Steve Johnson and Brooks King (Brooks is an IT guy.  He is also a certified disaster response tech.  Worked at both Katrina and Haiti.)

The lunch gang.
Brooks has his 36 foot sail boat in a slip right in front of Harpoon Henry's.  He was going out whale watching that afternoon & invited all of us to join him.  We are all retired geezers, BUT everyone already had plans.  How can that be?

We could easily spot the red bordered flag on Brook's boat from our table inside.

Dana Point Harbor - a must for visitors.

That night I got an email from Brooks that they indeed spotted quite a few whales.  My response was - REAL or VIRTUAL (and beer induced?)

Matt Brabeck almost immediately sent proof of seeing real whales - his cell phone picture of one of the sightings

Farther out to sea and another whale photo from Matt.
A short Marine Life video on whales and the festival
