July 1 - Sunday morning planned activities
#1 - Forest preserve bike ride

On the 50th reunion invitation we listed a lovely 15 mile morning bike ride through the North Forest preserves.  Unfortunately, only two golden oldies showed up...

Wayne Madsen, PhD

Doug Malewicki
More fantastic weather and more well deserved Margaritas owed to Al Telser for arranging for mid 70's in July!

#2 - Botanical gardens tour

Dr. Jerry Brodkin, former CTA bus driver during medical school and renowned Chicago street expert, drove us East from our hotel to take the highway 94 shortcut to the Botanical Gardens to meet up with the Telsers and Flanzers.  Unfortunately, a tractor-trailer flipped and spilled an entire load of pig heads, pig body parts and pig GREASE, which completely blocked the 94 North.  After negotiating surface streets for two hours we arrived just AS the Telsers and Flanzers were leaving.  Love those cell phones for coordinating such insanity!  As Dr. Jerry said - that was the most time the Brodkins and Malewicki's ever had to chat.  I think he is a specialist in turning lemons into lemonade!

Greetings AND good bye ya all!

Karen Malewicki, Professor Al & Karen Telser, Denny Flanzer, Dr. Jerry Brodkin, Fay Flanzer and Beth Brodkin.

More beautiful meandering water.

What a peaceful setting.

Jerry to Doug: "Don't let that ho get away!"
